Reilly's first tooth poked through on the bottom yesterday, 11/8/11.
I hadn't noticed any added crankiness. The second one came through 4
days later. As I'm writing this I can hear him through the monitor
waking up. He's saying "A." So cute!
Reilly has been
sitting like a pro since 5 months and just this last Sunday 11/20/11 he
showed me how he can clap. The more praise he gets for it the more he
does. Love it!
Wave bye bye.
He's been doing this for a couple weeks now but yesterday (2/28/12) it was so appropriate and he was saying "ba-ba" at the same time. Super cute!
Roll a ball back and forth with us March 2012
Shake his head no when he has had enough to eat or doesn't want what you're giving him. Shake his head no when you tell him no. It is sooo cute! March 1, 2012
Say mama 4/10/12 He has been saying ma...ma for a while but now he is finally saying it closer together.
Say ba for ball or balloon 4/10ish/12
Say oh wow April 5ish
Says agua or more acurately it is "awa" end of April
Reilly loves to play ball. If he see one he immediately starts saying ball, ball, ball until we get it for him. April
He says nana for banana but also for anything that he wants to eat. April
2 more teeth on the bottom poked through this week (May 19) Now there are eight.
Everybody says how cute Reilly is and how they love his hair. A mom of one of the girls on Katie's softball team keeps telling me he's the cutest boy she's ever seen.

Softball!
Katie is on her first softball team. It is so fun watching her and helping her learn to play!

First Game! April 3, 2012
Trying out the catcher's gear. It is hard to move around in all that stuff.

Getting instructions from one of the coaches.

Number 2 with the pink helmet and braids!

They get 5 live pitches from their coach and if they don't hit it then they bring out the T. Katie hit the ball both times from the pitch. I was so excited (and a bit surprised)!

Sooo cold mom!

Is this the right stance?

"Ummm... mom. I have to go potty...REALLY bad!"
Katie told us later that her favorite part was being on the bench.

Looking out the window
Reilly has no problem getting around now. He can pull himself up and get back down without falling (most of the time). I love the expression on his face here. He loves looking outside and if the door's open and then I close it without going out with him he often will cry to tell me he was hoping we were going to venture out into the big world.

Art Work
I recently painted Katie's room in preparation for the international student that would be using it. Behind one of Katie's dressers I discovered some lovely art work. The top picture says "It is not too hot." After looking at it I knew exactly what she had written about. I had made muffins one morning and she wanted a muffin as soon as it came out of the oven. I told her she needed to wait a little while until they cooled off, that they were too hot. She, in turn, proceeded to her bedroom to have a tantrum and write on the wall. I am very impressed with her proper usage of the word "too."
